Petrom History

History

 For the first time in Republic of Moldova the National Society of Oil "Petrom" Romania Joint Stock Company was registered on the 16th of October 1998 by opening a representative office in Chisinau. As a result of its reorganization, on the 18th of May 2000,  F.S.C. "Petrom-Moldova" J.S.C. was officially created and registered by the Republic of Moldova's State Registration Chamber. Thus "Petrom-Moldova" became a joint-stock company with outside capital.

The company begins its activity by acquiring in 2000 from S.N.P. „Petrom" S.A. Romania first filling station, placed on Sarmizegetusa str., nr.24 (PECO Station 1) and building in 2001 an Oil Products Distribution Commercial Center, placed on Calea Orheiului str., nr.109, Chisinau city (PECO Station 2).  Gradually F.S.C. „Petrom-Moldova" J.S.C. endorsed a policy of massive extension all over the territory of Republic of Moldova.  

In order to promote the trade mark, to extend and maintain the company's successful  activity on the Republic of Moldova's oil market, especially in oil products' distribution and trade areas, F.S.C. "Petrom-Moldova" J.S.C. signed collaboration and rental agreements with oil stations across the country. At present, Petrom Company Network counts over 94 Fuel and Gas Distribution Stations.
